Water Treatment & Filtration Systems

When you have poor water quality, it can be a real nightmare to deal with.

You need to call McKenzie Valley Pump to test your water and install a new water filtration system that will help you restore excellent water quality to your home or business. No more smelly water and no more hard water stains.

Here is a short list of the most common contaminants that we deal with.

  • Iron, hardness, sulfur, taste and odor, acidic water

We custom design your system depending upon the combination of these contaminants.  The general system consists of a backwash filter with a multiple media.

  • Nitrates

We use an anion resin which is salt regenerated, like a water softener.  This is for whole house use. The other method is reverse osmosis, usually for point of use (drinking water).

  • Salt Water

The only method to remove salt (sodium chloride) from water is reverse osmosis.

  • Sand

The types of filters used for sand are bag filter, screen or mesh, or a separator.

  • Sediment

We use a basic backwash filter or a bag filter or a pleated cartridge filter.

  • Coliform & E.coli

The water can be treated using chlorine, ultraviolet treatment system or ozone, all of which act to kill or inactivate E. coli. Systems using surface water sources are required to disinfect to ensure that all bacterial contamination is inactivated.

If you live in Lane County, a filtration system from McKenzie Valley Pump can give you peace of mind that your water is free from several contaminants. We provide all the services you need for water filtration in Eugene.

Cistern tanks

Cistern tanks are also called reservoir or holding tanks and are commonly used for low producing wells, allowing for a greater flow rate than the well produces. Tanks can be above or below ground. Common material for above ground tanks is polyethylene (Norwesco). Common material for below ground tanks are concrete (Willamette Graystone). All tanks have a capacity of 500 to 3000 gallons or more.

If you need a cistern tank, contact McKenzie Valley Pump for all your pump, well and water service needs.
